25 year old Cody Lane Winkler was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 25th, 1997. He was raised from 1997 until 2018 in Selma, Texas at what was supposed to be his forever home. In 2018, he moved to his Ranch in Marion, Texas. He raises over 100 head of cattle, makes hay and is a full-time Truck Driver for Winkler Construction & Trucking, LLC. Cody has been a professional driver since he was 18. He was also featured in Overdrive Magazine. Cody graduated from Samuel Clemens High School, Schertz, Texas in 2015.
Cody started his singing career about two years ago. Before singing professionally, he was a bit shy as he never thought he had "what it takes" to sing professionally. As his Mother, I had mentioned in conversation that Son, you have a beautiful voice. Before I die, I would SO love to hear you sing. Approximately a week after I had expressed that to Cody, I ended up having heart surgery, which left me in ICU and the possibility of not making it. Cody then decided, Life is Too Short so we drove to Brady, Texas to record his Father's 1st Cover Single, Riding My Thumb To Mexico. There is one beautiful woman that we give lots of credit to Ann Allen Cox from Brady, Texas. She was in charge of the Karaoke at the Tru Country Inn located in Brady, Texas. Ann is Cody's inspiration and will always have a place in his heart.
Cody made an appearance on American Idol, Season 21. He made it to the judges and Lionel Richie wanted to see Cody go very far. Cody was Blessed to be able to sing with Luke Bryan, a George Strait song, Unwound. We are looking for great things from Cody as he continues to work with J.K. Coltrain of Colt Records, Nashville.
